Stand Together with George Floyd and ask WHY?

Why is a powerful word if you think about it.  Why can answer so many questions.  Why can tell your life’s story.  Today, we have citizens of America outraged and distraught.  We ask why?

George Floyd is just an example of how power becomes the greatest sin of all.  For centuries, African American citizens of the United States have been oppressed.  For lifetimes, these citizens have been underpaid, underfunded, disrespected, disproportionately imprisoned, disenfranchised, and killed all because they were born with more melanin than another.

We ask why?

Long ago a system was set in place by the most powerful men in this country and manipulated into making it forever law.   Every administration has blood on their hands.  All power is to blame.

We ask why?

Power is the capacity or ability to direct or influence the behavior of others or the course of events.  Power has been around as long as humans have been around.  Power has oppressed the masses.  It is simple, POWER, did not want all men to be created equal.

In order for a system to change, power has to shift.  The movement of power is to move with great speed and force.  That force must be non-violent yet strong at the same time.

We must move as a family beside George Floyd.  We must move as a nation that is horrified with what we saw with our very own eyes.

They ask why?

Because, if George Floyd was my brother, I would never want this to happen to one more human being.  I would have wanted my brother to have the same opportunity as everyone else.  I would have wanted my brother to bask in the American dream.  I would have wanted my brother to watch his children grow and have moments of love and life in his future.  No one should have been able to take that away from him.

Past Lives, Do You Believe in Them?

A 3 year-old plays Mozart on the piano, a 9 year-old can sing like Aretha Franklin, a 7 year-old speaks 5 languages, and so many more unexplainable phenomenons that make you think twice about if we ever lived past lives.  It is said that the subconscious knows all, but your conscious spirit does not.  However, your conscious spirit feels more than we, at times, allow it to.  Unfortunately, Christianity, which rules most of the world, does not allow us to think into the past life spectrum.  It does not allow us to feel our consciousness as much as we need to.  To grasp the concept of past lives, we must be one within ourselves.  We must listen to the voice inside of all of us.  The voice that tells us that something doesn’t feel right, or it feels so right.  We ALL know that voice, but many of us try to look outward to define just what that is.

Let’s take a moment to pretend that past lives are 100% proven fact.  That we have all lived thousands of different experiences on this physical earth.  Every time we are reborn, we don’t remember what we’ve learned or experienced, but our being does.  The voice inside of us has already been down a road similar, or been struck by tragedy greater than your current imagination.  The voice has been with us, in all of our lives.  It speaks to us when no one else can.  It is literally our guide.

So then the question is, well why then does that voice sometimes lead us astray?  Why would that voice want to send us down the dark path?  Think about it, if you had thousands of lives to live, wouldn’t you want to learn everything this physical world provides.  Love, hate, sadness, physical pain, emotional pain, despair, torture, elation, success, intimacy, and everything you could learn would be at one of your life’s fingertips.  The purpose wouldn’t be to do everything right.  The purpose would rather be to learn how to be a positive beam of energy to carry the universe.  The purpose would be to force you into the darkness so you learn to LIVE in the light.  Isn’t that what we all want in the end?  To be in the right place at the end of it all?  Be the best version of you.  Learn to love beyond measure, live without bars, and take in every minute of every day with the appreciation that you get to be a part of something so boundless humanity has yet to comprehend.

Georgia’s Dangerous Game

Russian Roulette is a lethal game of chance in which a player places a single round in a revolver, spins the cylinder, places the muzzle against their head, and pulls the trigger, in the hope that the round does not reach the barrel of the gun and therefore fire.

Metaphorically, Georgia’s Governor Brian Kemp, decided to play too.  The gun is Covid-19 and the players are residents of Georgia.  The data as of right now shows 608 new cases in a 24 hour period, and 20% of tests given showing positive with under 1% of the population being tested.  These numbers should be eerily concerning for any resident of Georgia with the State Governor opening it’s doors to the public as of April 24th.

While the rest of the world is playing it safe and enforcing stay at home orders, Gov. Brian Kemp sees an opportunity to stand out among the masses.  For all the wrong reasons.  Human safety is a worldwide concern with Covid-19 taking the lives of hundreds of thousands of people.  50,000 people in the U.S. alone have died because of this deadly virus and yet Georgia, home of Atlanta, decides to do what all doctor’s and scientists have warned against.

Opening too early will have a catastrophic affect on the state of Georgia for years to come.  The Atlanta Metropolitan area makes up most of Georgia’s population with roughly 6 million people.  It is a densely populated area.

As of 2018, Atlanta, GA had 12,800 total hospital beds, of which about 74% were occupied, potentially leaving only 3,340 beds open for additional patients. The bed count includes 1,620 beds in intensive care units, according to data from the American Hospital Association and the American Hospital Directory. Intensive care units are best equipped to handle the most acute coronavirus cases.

This means that when people stop social distancing and Covid-19 infections rise, Georgia will be the next NYC.  There is a potential for rapid increase in numbers because of Atlanta’s dense population.

So what happens when Georgia’s hospitals become too full, more people will die who didn’t have to.  Social distancing allows our hospitals to control the flow of patients and give the best care to the ones who really need it.  Without social distancing and stay at home orders, more people will get sick, more will need intensive care, and Georgia doesn’t have the ability to support the next wave that will come.

Never before in my lifetime has a politician had the ability to put my life at risk.  Never before has a politician been able to make the decision that would inevitably cause more death.  Gov. Brian Kemp decided to play a very dangerous game with the residents of Georgia, I pray that the bullet that is coming be stopped before it’s too late.

Learning People From the Inside Out-Reincarnation

One of the most important lessons I have taught my daughter is to get to know everyone from the inside out.  Going deeper into that meaning has brought profound knowledge to my existence and my interactions with others.

I have always prided myself to be a lover of people.  Any color, size, religion, culture, and gender.

One of my greatest gifts has been to see the soul of a person and not the appearance or life choices.

It is not that I don’t see their physical differences.  We live in a physical world made up of matter.  Everyone has a unique and similar appearance.

I have chosen to not let anything from the physical world define who they are or who I am.

Our race and gender is a physical trait that we are born with.  It is not always what we identify with.  It is something that was chosen for us as soon as we entered the physical state of being.

So let’s explore what I am trying to divulge.  I have an inherent belief that this is not our souls first time here.  In fact, I believe we have all been here many times before.  We have come in different forms, through different time periods.

It would explain why a being born as a man, feels only feminine.  What if that soul has been through thousands of lives, most as a woman.  When they enter the present as a man, they don’t feel right.  Everything feels off.

If we can open our minds to the possibility that our souls can travel through many physical forms, then we can also be open to the fact that their is a novel inside of that book cover.  There is an untold story, a soul that is yearning to be who they feel most comfortable being.

It is not the outside that defines us all, it is what we have within us that tells our truth.

The Conscious Mind…Ever Flowing

We, as humans, have the most powerful force within all of us.  The conscious mind.  Many people across all continents are becoming more and more conscious of the world around us and our place in history.  Our bodies are bound by limitations, but our minds are only confined to what we allow.  Anything and everything is possible if we think it.

That doesn’t mean we can do anything, it means we can think greater than ever before.  With our bodies being forced to sit still, it gives our minds the opportunity to flow freely.

A free mind is a conscious one.  One that is not bound by the opinions or restrictions society has placed on us.  It is an ever flowing thought process, searching for the meaning of it all.

As we sit still, our minds have the ability to go deeper into the meaning of what it means to be human and what humans can do to benefit the universe.

Energy is all around us.  Energy is what makes us.  Positive thinking can influence an entire nation and uplift everyone it comes in contact with.

A positive mind that chooses to be conscious has the capacity to heal all wounds.  A positive, conscious mind has the power to shift the entire world into healing.

We are all in pain right now, together.  We are more connected than ever before.  It is imperative that we allow ourselves to influence one another.

My daughter asked me about burials when people die.  She said, “Mommy, isn’t that cruel, to bury a dead person under the ground.”

I replied, “Honey, you and I will not be buried.”  The you that makes you you will live on.  It is called our soul.  Our soul will leave the body.  The body is simply our shell.”

That explanation sparked a feeling of faith and belief in humanity.  If our energy is all knowing and forever powerful, than we need not fear any virus, war, or tragedy that this life on earth brings.  Our energy, if given the right thought, can be at peace knowing we will prevail.

We were all placed on this earth at this moment.  We were all placed here to witness the greatest threat to humanity.  This threat will only empower us to think deeper and let the light in.

Every moment that goes by adds more to our conscious mind.  All the pain we feel adds courage.  Courage adds strength.  And strength, in our core, will allow us to become the most powerful and conscious minds this earth has yet to witness.

Stay strong, my friends.  We are rooting for each other.  I have faith in all of us.  I have faith that the peace we have been searching for is right on the other side of tragedy.  So when we speak to someone we love, our energy exudes influence.  This world may have been tarnished by the unconscious.  It may have been overcome with negativity.

It is time for the conscious mind to take back the power and influence and bring about love.  The greatest energy of all.

We are being reset…

Before the Coronavirus brought us to our knees, life was moving forward as usual.  People weren’t taking time out for family and friends, young people were consumed with only social media and the relevance in the likes and follows it produced.  Money was ruling above all like it never had before.

For many years now, we have been witness to the blatant greed that became the only voice that mattered.  Corporations had automated every point of customer experience and people became numbers and dollar signs.

Humans have been losing their connection and at the same time losing their purpose.  We have been so consumed with the news of today and what’s popular that we completely forgot what was most important.

We watch alongside our children and wonder, what kind of world they will be left with, if left with one at all.  Time was moving so fast we couldn’t keep up.  Memories were being replaced with screen shots in our phone.

Everything that made this planet beautiful was being overrun by money and greed.  Life was beginning to have no meaning at all.

And then, we were stopped.  Like a domino effect, every nation surrounding us was on hold.  Every sale, every transaction, every event, every travel plan, and literally everything that once mattered, suddenly didn’t matter at all.    Every photo became an experience worth living.

We are being reset.  Many of us knew that it was only a matter of time that nature would run it’s course and stop the biggest threat to the planet.  We, the human race, have been shown our mortality.  We have come to understand just how fragile our existence on this planet is.  And now, we care more than ever to live in this moment and enjoy the beauty of the earth that we have taken for granted for far too long.

If and when we live through this moment, children will have been taught once again what family means.  People will have been humbled and understand to reuse and recycle and the importance that has on our survival.  Health will be something we celebrate and hold most dear.

Living for the now is what we have been given through this reset in history.  We are no longer buried in our work, obsessed with pop icons, saving for next years vacation, or simply consuming to consume.

Living for right now is the only thing that is certain.  Because of this certainty, we will rise above this and become the better version of who we were all meant to be.

The Bright Side

As we watch the coronavirus consume our news outlets, our cities, and our way of life as we once knew it to be, we must look on the Bright Side.

I am not one to wallow in sadness, nor am I a person to let the pain overcome and lead me into depression.  So personally, I choose to look on the bright side.

With thousands of people dying all over the world, the bright side may seem hard to find.  But to survive this pandemic mentally, we must.

So what is so great about this moment in on earth.

I live in Atlanta, GA.  Traffic is horrendous, the party scene is non-stop, money rules the city, noise from the traffic is loud at all times of the day, you never seem to have time to spend at home with your family because work is first, and it is more common to eat out then at home.

The Bright Side:

  1. Traffic is obsolete.  When you absolutely need to leave your home and go to the grocery store, you can be sure to enjoy clear roads, and effortless transit.
  2. There is no party scene.  The party is in your home, with the people who matter most.  Partying now consists of things other than drinking and hanging out.  The party can involve a game of Monopoly or  kicking the soccer ball around outdoors.
  3. Money no longer rules anything.  Whether you are rich or poor financially, you are stuck at home.
  4. There is no noise from the cars and trucks.  You can sit outside and feel as if you have gone to the rural countryside.
  5. The work you do now is consumed with how to keep your family with positive minds and hearts.  You no longer have to leave your home for 12 hours to work those two jobs, missing important family moments.  You are required to stay home and work on your family.
  6. Home cooked meals have become standard, and Mc Donald’s, Burger King, or Taco Mac have become a thing of the past.

Most importantly, we have been made to focus on what is vital to our lives.  It isn’t the party, it isn’t the celebrity, it isn’t the money.  It is simple.  Our family, our home, our shelter, our food, and our inner peace is what matters most.  Covid-19 has become the catalyst that saves humanity.

Doesn’t this just make us stronger?

Stay home.  Endure countless hours with your family members. It is an order.

This is truly one of the only times in my lifetime that I can remember us humans being ordered to live a certain way.  I believe it is the righteous way.

We live in a world, so consumed by material.  We “follow” everyone deemed important.  We forget to look in front of us, next to us, beside us.  We forget to channel our inner circle.  We forget who our inner circle even is.

Who were you closest to today?

That was probably one of the closest people to you in life.  Did you even know how vital they were?  Did you ever take a second and think, if the world was ending, they would still be there?

No, you probably didn’t.  I hope this time for you has made you look in the mirror.  I hope this time for you has been a wake up call.

The people who sit beside you today are your “Day Ones”.  They haven’t left.  In a time where they should be sheltering themselves or their children, they are with you.

Your welcome…

I feel for the parents…

Sitting in her bedroom, watching her favorite slime video, is my eight year old little girl.  From the moment she came into my life, I have promised to be her guidance and protection.  The entire world is a new adventure for her.

This moment in our lives can’t be more difficult than for the parents of our world.  The parent’s whose children lay their head in comfort and look at like they can make magic happen.

Our children have since the beginning of time been the meaning of hope and second chances.

From the data, many of our children will survive this illness.  We however, do not have data to tell us if they will survive this disruption in their innocence.

Without trying, our days become consumed with this virus.  Conversations in front of our children about hard details become harder and harder to avoid.  They see the worry written on our faces.  They have been told there is no school, no play dates, and no restaurants.  Of course they feel this.

I feel for the parents because right now, more than ever we must put our badge on and wear it with a smile.  We were chosen to lead by our creator.  We were chosen to guide this being into the light.

There is so much to still be thankful for, there is so much to still strive for.  Look in your child’s eyes and lead them to embrace the light.  We are all still blessed to be alive and even more blessed to have created life.

Remember to Breathe

The greatest comfort is that we are ALL in this together.  This moment that we find ourselves in will change the world as we knew it to be.  We are being forced as an entire species to find a way to survive and work together.  We are being forced to look in the mirror and recognize where we could have done more.

We HOPE that a day will come when we have the chance to do better.  We HOPE that we get through this unscathed.  We HOPE for humanity.

If there was ever a time to wake up and listen to the signs around us, it was now.  This is not a rich or poor problem, this is not a race problem, this is something that effects EVERY human on this planet.  This is something that can walk through our door at any moment and bring great sadness and loss with it.  This is something that has stopped our lives.  This virus has managed to make the world stand still.

What power this lesson has over all of us.  We have gone so many years, taking advantage of life itself.  Since the beginning of time, humans have taken this earth for granted.  Every year we grow as a species, we lose sight of what really matters.  Fresh air, a hug from a loved one, health.  These are all things we can say we have overlooked.  We get lost in addiction, depression, envy, and sorrow.  We don’t for one moment think that in one day the entire world as we know it could change.

Well it has.  Look around.  What do you see?  Empty roads, media controlled by a pandemic, grocery stores are empty, and fear looms.  We have now entered a really dark moment in time.

Now BREATHE, we are all here.  We are here at the same moment.  No one is exempt from this hell on earth.

The question now remains, how to we adapt?

As humans, we are resilient.  We can overcome.  History itself tells a story of how our species survived and thrived.

So BREATHE, this too shall pass.

So what do we do in the mean time?

Haven’t you been so busy with not living that you never had time to read that book so many have told you is life changing?

Haven’t you been so busy chasing something in the future that you didn’t have a moment to live for today?

And what about those lessons on youtube you have been planning to watch so you could learn to play that guitar thats been hanging on your wall collecting dust?

Or what about that movie you and your family have been wanting to watch together for months, but you just haven’t had the chance yet?

Weren’t you supposed to call your grandma back last week, but just couldn’t find the time?

Well, I have the best news for you!  Today, ALL of you can.  Everyone of you now has the time to focus on what makes you happy.  Wow, what a concept.  Through all of this chaos, time has slowed down to give us an opportunity to LIVE the right way and focus on what matters.

There is always a reason to smile.
