What Happens When You Forget to Look Up?

Heads down, souls absorbed into the mass stream of media.  Drowning our humanity.

When is the last time you looked in their eyes, felt the vibration of a soul connected to another.

Can we just be programmed out of it.    Can our collective parts all be mirrored in a room alone, looking down into the “phone”?

Should it even be called a phone at this point, or should it be called an alternate state in the universe.

The ones who are awake, remember what a mother’s hug feels like or the touch, taste, smell of everything.

They say the eyes are an opening to our soul.  Well what if we opened them up to take it all.  Our will, our thoughts, our time.  Us.  But what if all we are now is people who once had people?  What if what we are is the people alone.  Lost?

Once they are gone, the world will never be the same

There are few left on this earth that remember a time when technology didn’t absorb us. Grandparents and great grandparents born in the early 20th century can recall a more simple time. Often they tell stories of games, dinner table conversations, living most days outdoors and having to use their mind for amusement. These are the people the young generation mocks because they can’t properly use a cell phone, or social media. But what they can do, and what they can teach us is more valuable than any other lesson available on earth today. When they leave us, many of their stories, their experiences, and their mannerisms will too. We will become more and more disconnected to human interaction and what that feels like. As the years go on and the elders pass away, there will be no one left to tell us why we should put our phones down. There will be no more phone calls on the other end with people who would rather talk than text.

Handwriting will be a thing of the past as will moments where we gaze into each others eyes while speaking. The social addiction of our phones and devices will have no more barrier to fight through. Because isn’t it our elders that tell us to remember to look each other in the eyes when we speak? Isn’t it our elders that remind us that beautiful days should not be wasted behind a video game console?

The world changed right before their eyes and they couldn’t possibly keep up because what felt good for them was the memories of a cup of milk at the kitchen table with mama. Not a phone, nor a tv, nor a video game could replace what secret to human experience that they hold. Covid-19 has been killing our elders off at a faster rate than anyone could have foreseen. My hope for you today is that you read this post, realize that time is running out, and learn from those who know better than us on how to be human.

Choice and Acceptance; Our Human Right

Does anyone really know what is best for you? Does anyone understand what is in the depths of your soul? Probably not. Because everyone of us is given a different perspective, drawn from the moment we enter into this existence.

So often we hear of governments, religions groups, our own families telling us what to choose and what is accepted.

Is that their story to tell? What is it about anyone or anything that could possibly give them the right to define which way your life should go?

Think about it. Think hard. When you lay awake at night, in your deepest thoughts, are you thinking about what others want, or do you think about what you want and what YOU feel?

When you think about these desires, are you held back from them because of another person’s opinion? What makes them have so much control over you. Why would you give them authority over the one most sacred human right; Your Choice? Your choice will define your existence. The voice in your head and heart will continue to tell you the way. How could you stop what is for YOU? What type of power in all of human existence should be given to one over another?

Choice should be recognized as our most basic human right.

You do not have to agree with my choices, you do not have to understand the why behind them, but you must accept them. They are mine and should be mine alone to make. If I choose to do something to benefit the feelings of another person, then I must make that choice. If I should choose a path that a religious group doesn’t agree with, it is still my choice for them to accept.

We are not given many freedoms in this world. In fact, at every turn, power, money, and government , chips away at our choice and enforces their own. But when we hold the control to walk in the direction that most fulfills us. WHO should have enough hold over us to take that away. CHOICE IS FOR ME ALONE, ACCEPTANCE IS FOR YOU. The path of my choices will teach me what I am to learn, and no one and nothing should be able to take that away. Live in the custom reality that was made just for you, and don’t allow others to take you from that.

Everyone should feel the bond of an Animal

The bond between a human and an animal is one of the purest forms of love.  Even in small doses it’s as magical as it could ever be.  The eyes that gaze upon you with that innocent glare.  The warmth you feel at the touch.  The bond with an animal is one that should be experienced by all.  It is the love and nurture that bonds us together.

This love is kind and protective, a shield in the storm, a companion to the ones who need it most. It is what our love between each other should be. The example of love that we can only hope to reflect. It could be a cat coming thru the door at night, a dog nestling in your lap, the gaze of a horse, the simplest forms of this interaction are what makes the world a better place. It is the pure energy passing from human to animal, animal to human. The transmission of that fuel gives us strength and peace, hope and home.

When an animal becomes a family member, they become apart of you forever. Through time the bond grows and the need for them in your life increases, until one day they’re gone and the live in your memory bank forever. You will miss every part of what they brought into your life but you will be a better person because of them.

Let us learn from the beauty of their energy. Let us bask in the moments we are given. Learn from the love the animals keep.

The Mind is Beyond the Matrix

Everything that exists in this world can be explained down to the very atoms, however the mind, not the brain, is something that still remains a mystery. The why of consciousness is a search many philosophers have given their life’s work trying to unfold. I am simply a medium that is able to express my consciousness through my writings. When I write, I don’t create an outline or plan of what I will pen down. I write the words that flow through me. I write the topics that don’t leave my conscience. I write because I have to share.

Enlightenment is something that all of us gain in different measures from this lifetime and the many others that we’ve experienced. Like the leaves on the trees that wither away and die, only to be reborn, again and again. Our lifetimes are like seasons of consciousness. The only piece of us that stays with us through them all is our Mind (some like to also refer to as our spirit).

Many of us search to find answers and meanings for the experiences, but the answers don’t exist in the material world. The “inner voice” that speaks to us is where the answers are hidden but many of us haven’t been able to unlock that part of our understanding. The material world is based on laws and systems, the spiritual world is beyond all that we see. It relies on feeling. Not feeling like touch, feeling of our deepest emotions enables us to better understand.

The deeper we can understand the why’s of ourself, the more we can understand the why of consciousness. Accepting that there is something within us proves that there is more to the story. Beyond the matrix, beyond the barriers, beyond the laws, there is consciousness for us to discover. There is a beginning and an end to our lifetimes, but there is one stream of consciousness that flows through all of us. Follow the stream.

We are supposed to be better than they were…

This blog talks of generations. From many different lifetimes. Old and new. Most of all, the ones alive today, are being taught a lesson, we are much more mortal than we want to realize. In society most of our views come from different generations. The old versus the young. Whats the difference between our views as Gen Z and Gen Alpha than the Baby Boomers and Silent Generation?

The answer is in front of us everyday, all the time. There is a component to our growth as humans to understand where the world became more enlightened. Ideas today began because of the trendsetters of our history being “woke”. It began with ideas from many individuals, then it became a whole new world.

The internet joined all of us in 1991 when we were able to connect instantly (or at least with a short delay). It changed humanity as we would ever know it to be.

Why? Our IQs aren’t higher than the people of the past, but our access to universal information is. For the past 30 years we have been becoming informed.

In the past, for our parents and grand parents, it was information in books. But even the most avid readers of the past generations weren’t holding all the cards. Today, I can talk to Siri, search anything my heart desired, at the command of my voice. Today, I meet people from all over the world. Today, we understand others unlike ourselves. The newer generations are not better with everything that they do, but they are more informed. Equality and stability is a right for us all, not just in my town, my city, but for all humans. Gen Z and Gen Alpha will be the new way. My hope is that we realize our strengths as a generation and our weaknesses and become better humans. We all deserve to leave this world with more healing and understanding than before. Every generation is a trial on what works and what doesn’t work in our world. If we don’t use that data to make the world a more peaceful and connected place, then we have missed our opportunity.

Is COVID-19 proving the Gaia Theory?

The Gaia Theory proposes that living organisms interact with their inorganic surroundings on Earth to form a synergistic and self-regulating, complex system that helps to maintain and perpetuate the conditions for life on the planet.

The theory states that as Earth’s population increases, and becomes overpopulated, the Gaia (mother nature), will rid the Earth of inhabitants by things such as natural disasters, tragic events caused by man, environmental change, and disease.

It is quite simple to understand when you think about it.  Though you can’t see it happening, every minute of the day we lose about 30,000 to 40,000 dead skin cells off the surface of our skin.  New skin is constantly being created on our bodies and because of this natural shed of skin, our skin maintains it’s purpose.  The new skin cells gradually push their way to the top layer. When they reach the top, they die and are “weathered” by the environment and your daily activities.  Eventually, the dead cells break away from the epidermis and fall off, making room for newer cells growing up from below.

It is the natural cycle that lives all around us.

Let’s use another example of Earth’s natural cycle.  Our body temperature is controlled by thermoregulation.   Your brain controls thermoregulation. When it senses your internal temperature becoming too low or high, it sends signals to your muscles, organs, glands, and nervous system.  It responds accordingly.  For instance;

If your body needs to cool down, you may start sweating.  If you need to heat up, you may start to shiver.

Self-regulation is all around us.  It can be found in the tiniest of organisms to the entire atmosphere.

In the Gaia theory, COVID-19 would be a self-regulatory act of the Earth.  It would be one way that the Earth combats overpopulation and the detrimental impact of human greed on Earth.  8 out of 10 people that die from COVID-19 are over the age of 65.  This means that out of the 773,000 deaths brought upon by this disease, 618,000 were elderly.  If you believe in the Gaia Theory, this statistic is shocking evidence that as the Earth’s population grows, the Earth teaches us that the cycle can’t be broken.  No matter the advances in modern medicine, Gaia will make a way for the young to enter the cycle and the old to exit.

What is the message? We ALL know better than this.

Don’t use all that toilet paper.  Be conscious of how much you consume.  We don’t know what lies ahead but what we do know…..a message.

In order to make sense of the chaos, one must find the purpose.  For most, it is not the illness that we fear most.  It is what is happening all around us.

Everything is closing, everything changing.  We look into the news, into our feeds and we watch the world unravel before our eyes.  We try to answer the questions from our children in a lighthearted and positive way, yet we find that harder and harder to accomplish.

We can’t help but pay attention to….Well frankly, all of it.

So what does it all mean.  What can we do to ease the burden of our anxiety?

I believe it is our duty to be conscious.  We knew something like this would face us.  We knew we couldn’t keep going like this.

We must look at the feat in front of us, be strong, and remember we are all here to learn.  COVID-19 may be the most valuable lesson many us will ever face in this lifetime.  Our mothers and fathers, grandfathers and grandmothers, they all had something similar to this.  No it has never been so heavy.  But we have been heavy.  We have been taking and taking, climbing and stepping on our brothers and sisters.

We are humanity and this is a peril.  Many of us will make it through this, but the question remains, what will we do different.

Oh Mother Nature, The Irony…

In the 1970s, chemist James Lovelock and microbiologist Lynn Margulis developed the Gaia hypothesis; the theory that all organic and inorganic components on the planet are part of one self-regulating system, working to maintain and perpetuate life on earth.

As the earth becomes more polluted by human greed, and most of us can barely survive, we must recognize the obvious.

COVID-19 has infected 218,220 and killed almost 9,000 people.  It has forced entire countries to shut down, air and land travel has rapidly declined, and people are being forced to isolate.

Think of the symbolism of what has been taken from us humans since COVID-19 showed up.

Our feeling of security is gone.  Our fun and adventure, gone.  Our food stores are almost empty.  Our friends and family, apart.

Our moments, at a stand still.

Mother Nature has a way of showing us, who is the most powerful.  As we watch the rich and powerful hoard and destroy what is left on this beautiful planet, Mother Nature has made a statement.

COVID-19 will teach us a valuable lesson.

The richest in the world are rapidly losing money as they have to carry the poor.  If they do not assist the poor, this virus will be sure to spread faster and wider.

How ironic that today we watch as the rich scramble to hold all of us up.  Governments are having to tell the truth and listen to the science.  They are forced to donate their billions to save the world.  They know that if the world financially collapses, their billions will disappear.  If they don’t help cure people, THEY may be next to be infected.

Ohhhh Mother Nature, how you really have humbled us this time.  You have forced us to see that no matter the race, religion, or amount of money, WE ALL NEED EACH OTHER.  We are connected.  Hopefully COVID-19 will show everyone that to save themselves, they must save another.  Take time to appreciate that the birds are still chirping, the wind still blowing, and the best place for you to stand is in the sun.
