The Computed Connection…

Last night, in my dreams, I saw my late father. He found me in the woods, and as I ran to hug him, we shared a moment of deep connection. We talked about where he would go next, but there was no clear answer. Tears flowed, and we held each other tightly. Though I was sad and didn’t want him to leave, even in my subconscious, I understood he had to. His comforting words were, “At least I’m here now.”

I truly believe we were there—in that brief moment, our subconscious energies connected to a higher source, allowing my dad to see me as the grown person I’ve become. It made me wonder: isn’t everything connected?

Just like a computer plugs into a power outlet and energy flows, we too are all intertwined. The warmth of our love can be felt like a hug, even deep within our subconscious.

Consider AI for a moment. Data centers powered by electricity process vast amounts of information, and as billions of people interact with AI, the technology learns and grows faster than ever before. We are witnessing computers absorb human interaction at unprecedented speeds, edging closer to what some call Super Intelligence.

So why don’t we view our own human energy in the same light? The more energy—positive or negative—that we emit, the greater our collective influence on humanity and the world around us. Because energy can neither be created nor destroyed, I believe that when our physical bodies fade, the energy within us doesn’t vanish. It simply transforms. But where does it go? Perhaps it’s always here, waiting to be channeled. Maybe pieces of another person’s energy stay with us, embedded deep within our subconscious, allowing us to connect across time and space.

Why should the idea of my dad visiting me in my subconscious be dismissed as false? In reality, he was here once. Isn’t it possible his energy never truly left?

We live in a time clouded by technology, where computers often think for us, dulling our feelings and disconnecting us from our souls. Yet, emotions like love, hate, sadness, and joy remain incredibly powerful—more than we realize. We’re simply underutilizing that power.

So next time you’re with someone you love, hold them close. Take in every sight, sound, and scent that surrounds them. In that moment, you’ll catch a glimpse of the incredible energy we all share—a connection to each other and to something greater, all flowing from the same source.

WHEN THE NOISE IS SILENT

Locked in the moment, in a space in time, the noise is silent.

But why?

The noise created by digital things, emails, text messages, phone calls, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Tik Tok, Reddit, LinkedIn.  News streaming across your view, unable to press the off button because you love all of it.  You love the busy.  You love the noise.  Distraction from the world around you.  Your job is underwhelming, your relationships aren’t solid, your life is merely spinning.

Every new day hits you harder than the last. Disruptions in your “plan” by exterior parts of your life drain you.

You strive for the perfection you see around you, but your days don’t fit the same profile.

Alone, without connection though connection surrounds you.  Waiting to feel alive, to feel…

Loved.

All of a sudden, the noise, all that runs around you, comes to a halt.  In that moment, you feel love.  It’s captivating and warm.  It’s beautiful and everything that was distracting ceases to even exist for that moment.

When you allow yourself to feel love, to be locked in to the most important moment that lives, you live.  And it reminds you that the noise doesn’t matter.

Are you stuck on the wheel?

It’s metaphorically perfect to describe life’s monotonous cycles to the wheel because it is a cycle. It is where most of us will spend our time in this life.

Most of us will step off the wheel, whether to fall back or step forward. The ones that fall back, have gotten lost into their past life of mistakes making it even harder to surpass the wheel. The ones that step forward, will take a few small steps and revert to the comfort of the wheel. Some of the ones that step forward will grab a hold of that forward momentum and keep pushing, but even they too will find themselves on the wheel again. Like a tragic addiction, even though they know the outcome, they find solace in the arms of comfort.

It is what lies ahead, in the unknown, that everything they ever wanted exists. The road is straight, yet there are many wheels along the way. Those wheels that they spin symbolize the complacency they are addicted to. Complacency is easy. It is effortless.

As soon as they step off of the wheel, the first push is hard, but it is the steps in the future of their forward progression that will be the most difficult. Because life isn’t a test of whether or not one can get off the wheel, we all get off the wheel. It is a test of ones endurance and grit that will keep them off the wheel so that they can experience the things unseen and not yet experienced.

Give yourself the chance to remain off the wheel. Just keep putting one foot in front of the other. If for some reason you find yourself back on the wheel, jump off as soon as you realize you are spinning.

If I didn’t know you…

By knowing one another intimately, empathy develops. Empathy is the ability to understand and share feelings of another. It is experienced as one human being moves through the world and connects with other humans and life forms. It is the only tool that can combat hate toward one another. It can not be taught and must be individually learned.

There are countless stories of people becoming friends after generational family racism and hate. All it took was for one person to sit at a table with the other. Every moment captured in the presence of someone who differs from them is a moment that can change the course of a that person’s life.

The reason so many generations before us relied on separation and hate was because in many instances, integration and true connective moments didn’t exist.

There are still places in this world where one type of person has never met another type of person. Whether the difference be race, religion, gender, or sexual preference, there are some communities that are simply ignorant to being in the presence of the other.

Ignorance is the greatest threat to empathy. It is necessary that we are able to find a common ground for all of humanity to realize that we are much more similar than we are different.

Our deepest wishes and hopes for ourselves and our family members almost mirror that of anyone else despite their differences.

Once a person walks with another through different life experiences, that person begins to see the world through the other persons eyes.

Our differences make us interesting, but our similarities will allow us to have the compassion that we need to not destroy each other.

In the end, we bleed the same, dream the same, and fight for what we love.

The Escape Drug…Social Media

Intertwined with the digital space all around us, we sit, lifeless as our minds expand. The question is, do they expand for the betterment of all of us, or do they destroy our pieces and chip away at our bodies, one quick high at a time? Some might say, social media brings us together, that social media unifies humanity, allowing us to see the inside of each part of our world. Others might say, it is the greatest danger to all of mankind. Few will say, I don’t actually use it.

When most of us hear someone say, “I don’t really use it”, for a moment we delve into their mindset. But how? How do you stay connected to the outside world? What could you possibly do with your day then?

The actuality is that those people have filled their day with other kinds of moments within their life circle. Moments of life happening around them. Is what they do more fulfilling? Maybe not, but it is different. What we do within social media is escapism.

From the moment we log into the “network”, we are connected. Our mind races through the content and our bodies stay still. Hours can go by, and you are still locked in. You’ve lost yourself, in the physical world, and flew off into the digital realm. Using your imagination to keep the inquiry into others lives going. Like a fantasy, that can take you anywhere with the mere tap of a finger. You find answers to your thoughts. Reality is heavy, but Tik Tok so light, thus you dive into to the fluff.

The strings of our hearts being plucked with every post. We escape. Into a different world then what is in front of us.

But what IS in front of us? Like so many people struggling to put their family before addiction, we need to remember that to use this for connection is powerful, but to allow the “network” to connect you is a tragedy.

Choice and Acceptance; Our Human Right

Does anyone really know what is best for you? Does anyone understand what is in the depths of your soul? Probably not. Because everyone of us is given a different perspective, drawn from the moment we enter into this existence.

So often we hear of governments, religions groups, our own families telling us what to choose and what is accepted.

Is that their story to tell? What is it about anyone or anything that could possibly give them the right to define which way your life should go?

Think about it. Think hard. When you lay awake at night, in your deepest thoughts, are you thinking about what others want, or do you think about what you want and what YOU feel?

When you think about these desires, are you held back from them because of another person’s opinion? What makes them have so much control over you. Why would you give them authority over the one most sacred human right; Your Choice? Your choice will define your existence. The voice in your head and heart will continue to tell you the way. How could you stop what is for YOU? What type of power in all of human existence should be given to one over another?

Choice should be recognized as our most basic human right.

You do not have to agree with my choices, you do not have to understand the why behind them, but you must accept them. They are mine and should be mine alone to make. If I choose to do something to benefit the feelings of another person, then I must make that choice. If I should choose a path that a religious group doesn’t agree with, it is still my choice for them to accept.

We are not given many freedoms in this world. In fact, at every turn, power, money, and government , chips away at our choice and enforces their own. But when we hold the control to walk in the direction that most fulfills us. WHO should have enough hold over us to take that away. CHOICE IS FOR ME ALONE, ACCEPTANCE IS FOR YOU. The path of my choices will teach me what I am to learn, and no one and nothing should be able to take that away. Live in the custom reality that was made just for you, and don’t allow others to take you from that.

Let Us Pray

Does it matter who we pray to, as long as we humble ourselves to the understanding that this is bigger than us and we are all connected?  I would strongly argue, No.  Prayer has become a term with a religious connotation.  But prayer, in its rawest form, is HOPE.  When we pray, we give thanks for the life we live and HOPE for a better tomorrow.  Prayer can be powerful.

Hands held, eyes closed, love in our hearts, hope in our soul.  Let Us Pray.  Let us pray for the people of the world.  Let us pray that they have another day.  Let Us Pray for the heavy heart that we all carry watching the disparities around the world.  Let Us Pray.  Let Us Pray for the evil that consumes so many.  Let Us Pray that it is ousted by good.  Let Us Pray that we realize our voice can make a difference.

Let Us Pray.  Let Us Pray that all children are warm with full bellies and happy thoughts.  Let Us Pray that we are given the time and capacity to see the good vs the evil.  Let Us Pray for the Black Men who walk with targets on their backs.  Let Us Pray that this stigma is lifted to form a better tomorrow.  Let Us Pray.

Let Us Pray for the Mother’s caring for their children alone.  Pray that they keep going because the future depends on them.

Let Us Pray for a country wounded by its founders.  Let Us Pray that, tomorrow we will be better, love more, and accept everyone as they are.  To pray for one is to pray for all, and to pray for all is our greatest gift and our guiding light.  Amen.

The Conscious Mind…Ever Flowing

We, as humans, have the most powerful force within all of us.  The conscious mind.  Many people across all continents are becoming more and more conscious of the world around us and our place in history.  Our bodies are bound by limitations, but our minds are only confined to what we allow.  Anything and everything is possible if we think it.

That doesn’t mean we can do anything, it means we can think greater than ever before.  With our bodies being forced to sit still, it gives our minds the opportunity to flow freely.

A free mind is a conscious one.  One that is not bound by the opinions or restrictions society has placed on us.  It is an ever flowing thought process, searching for the meaning of it all.

As we sit still, our minds have the ability to go deeper into the meaning of what it means to be human and what humans can do to benefit the universe.

Energy is all around us.  Energy is what makes us.  Positive thinking can influence an entire nation and uplift everyone it comes in contact with.

A positive mind that chooses to be conscious has the capacity to heal all wounds.  A positive, conscious mind has the power to shift the entire world into healing.

We are all in pain right now, together.  We are more connected than ever before.  It is imperative that we allow ourselves to influence one another.

My daughter asked me about burials when people die.  She said, “Mommy, isn’t that cruel, to bury a dead person under the ground.”

I replied, “Honey, you and I will not be buried.”  The you that makes you you will live on.  It is called our soul.  Our soul will leave the body.  The body is simply our shell.”

That explanation sparked a feeling of faith and belief in humanity.  If our energy is all knowing and forever powerful, than we need not fear any virus, war, or tragedy that this life on earth brings.  Our energy, if given the right thought, can be at peace knowing we will prevail.

We were all placed on this earth at this moment.  We were all placed here to witness the greatest threat to humanity.  This threat will only empower us to think deeper and let the light in.

Every moment that goes by adds more to our conscious mind.  All the pain we feel adds courage.  Courage adds strength.  And strength, in our core, will allow us to become the most powerful and conscious minds this earth has yet to witness.

Stay strong, my friends.  We are rooting for each other.  I have faith in all of us.  I have faith that the peace we have been searching for is right on the other side of tragedy.  So when we speak to someone we love, our energy exudes influence.  This world may have been tarnished by the unconscious.  It may have been overcome with negativity.

It is time for the conscious mind to take back the power and influence and bring about love.  The greatest energy of all.

The Bright Side

As we watch the coronavirus consume our news outlets, our cities, and our way of life as we once knew it to be, we must look on the Bright Side.

I am not one to wallow in sadness, nor am I a person to let the pain overcome and lead me into depression.  So personally, I choose to look on the bright side.

With thousands of people dying all over the world, the bright side may seem hard to find.  But to survive this pandemic mentally, we must.

So what is so great about this moment in on earth.

I live in Atlanta, GA.  Traffic is horrendous, the party scene is non-stop, money rules the city, noise from the traffic is loud at all times of the day, you never seem to have time to spend at home with your family because work is first, and it is more common to eat out then at home.

The Bright Side:

  1. Traffic is obsolete.  When you absolutely need to leave your home and go to the grocery store, you can be sure to enjoy clear roads, and effortless transit.
  2. There is no party scene.  The party is in your home, with the people who matter most.  Partying now consists of things other than drinking and hanging out.  The party can involve a game of Monopoly or  kicking the soccer ball around outdoors.
  3. Money no longer rules anything.  Whether you are rich or poor financially, you are stuck at home.
  4. There is no noise from the cars and trucks.  You can sit outside and feel as if you have gone to the rural countryside.
  5. The work you do now is consumed with how to keep your family with positive minds and hearts.  You no longer have to leave your home for 12 hours to work those two jobs, missing important family moments.  You are required to stay home and work on your family.
  6. Home cooked meals have become standard, and Mc Donald’s, Burger King, or Taco Mac have become a thing of the past.

Most importantly, we have been made to focus on what is vital to our lives.  It isn’t the party, it isn’t the celebrity, it isn’t the money.  It is simple.  Our family, our home, our shelter, our food, and our inner peace is what matters most.  Covid-19 has become the catalyst that saves humanity.

I feel for the parents…

Sitting in her bedroom, watching her favorite slime video, is my eight year old little girl.  From the moment she came into my life, I have promised to be her guidance and protection.  The entire world is a new adventure for her.

This moment in our lives can’t be more difficult than for the parents of our world.  The parent’s whose children lay their head in comfort and look at like they can make magic happen.

Our children have since the beginning of time been the meaning of hope and second chances.

From the data, many of our children will survive this illness.  We however, do not have data to tell us if they will survive this disruption in their innocence.

Without trying, our days become consumed with this virus.  Conversations in front of our children about hard details become harder and harder to avoid.  They see the worry written on our faces.  They have been told there is no school, no play dates, and no restaurants.  Of course they feel this.

I feel for the parents because right now, more than ever we must put our badge on and wear it with a smile.  We were chosen to lead by our creator.  We were chosen to guide this being into the light.

There is so much to still be thankful for, there is so much to still strive for.  Look in your child’s eyes and lead them to embrace the light.  We are all still blessed to be alive and even more blessed to have created life.
